We've entered that time of year where once-a-day showers just aren't enough anymore. As described in my last post, field season is upon us. So is outreach season. What this means is that I've been getting up in the morning, showering to tame my hair, then going to work only to become filthy or sweaty or otherwise negate my shower within only hours. So now, I'm sitting here at my desk, suffering my own stench (a lovely combination of several layers of sweat, the Choptank River, and whatever sulfurous substance I just cleared out of my tanks), and waiting for it to be a respectable hour to go home for my second shower of the day. Anyone want to bet on whether I can come up with a reason to need a third?
The Choptank disease mentioned early has been brought under control and everything is healing nicely. There is no need for alarm.
