The queue

Despite an unexpected and unpleasant weekend away with no knitting, things are not looking so bad. I'll be away again this weekend, but this time for fun, and most likely with much knitting, at least in the car. All of this needs to be finished by Dec. 22 when I head home.

Finished gifts:
- Alpaca/silk lace shawl for aunt
- Beaded bracelet for girlfriend of brother #2 (This is a relatively new girlfriend, and I haven't met her, but she seems to have been adopted into the family. Since I'm making something for girlfriend of brother #1, I figured I better make something happen. I found a 90% complete bracelet in my stash that happened to be her favorite color. Finished it off last night and am calling it good.)
- Beaded necklace for girlfriend of brother #1... The original plan was abandoned for something I like better, which is now finished.

On the needles:
- Blue footed booby slippers for three-year-old offspring of girlfriend of brother #2. There may be a few kinks to work out in terms of size, but once I get that taken care of, these will be a breeze.
-Earrings to match bracelet for girlfriend of brother #2. Decided that the bracelet wasn't as impressive as the necklace for the other brother's girlfriend, so I'm adding earrings. Will be finished by the end of the night... maybe.

Still to make:
- Slippers for brother #1... easy enough. The yarn is here, I plan to cast on for the car trip.
- Finish scarf that was gifted to mom last year, but never quite finished. This one might wait until after Christmas since I'm fairly confident that a book that would help this process considerably will be under the tree with my name on it. But this absolutely must be in mom's hands by New Years.
