Grrr.
I never have quite understood people who say that they get depressed in the winter and buy all sorts of full spectrum lights to try to fix it. For the most part, the weather doesn't bother me. Except in cases where it poses a safety risk (like swimming pools and lightning), I don't really let it change my plans. I don't like to be cold, but I can usually deal by wearing the proper clothing, and I usually redefine just how cold is cold and how many clothes it's possible for one person to wear at a time when the oil bill shows up, so obviously, it's not that bad. But this... this is starting to piss me off. And by "starting to piss me off", I mean I'm having only barely controllable violent feelings toward snow. As I mentioned in my last post, we got another 6 inches last weekend. As of yesterday, about 4 of those were still on the ground in most places. By this morning, we had another inch of really slushy stuff on top of that. The kids have not been to school yet this week, but despite our location on the only completely unmaintained road in the county, the lab's been open. That means that everyone has been bringing their snot nosed brats to work. If having to come to work at all in my current state of mind wasn't bad enough, now I'm tripping over 6 year olds (I'll not pretend that drop kicking them out the door and into the snow hasn't crossed my mind). Now the weather guys are calling for an additional 3-6 or 6-12 inches this weekend depending on which map you look at. Last time they called for "a dusting", we got 6 inches, so I really hate to see what happens when they call for a foot of snow. I'm moving to Mexico. Who's with me?

looks like you are in for much more over the weekend. Good thing you have all those canned goods to survive on.
