I have a new hero, the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Not only is this a hilariously funny and appropriate response to teaching the theory of intelligent design as an alternative to evolution in public schools, it also proves that global warming is responsible for the near extinction of pirates in today's society.

The lack of priates is counter-intuitive. With the ice caps melting there is more water, with more water there should be more room for pirates. But why are there fewer pirates?
